Kevin Litcofsky, PhD

Head of Research & Development

Kevin has 14 years of experience in microbial product discovery and development from initial candidate identification through late-stage regulatory positioning and scientific communications. An early employee at Seres Therapeutics, Kevin led the Molecular (later Research) Technologies teams that built, ran, and oversaw the analytics pipelines used to characterize microbes and microbial communities for nonclinical, QC, and clinical purposes. He also managed the nonclinical models supporting the SER-109 and SER-262 INDs, set up and oversaw clinical sample collection procedures, and represented R&D on the core product team through BLA submission and approval of VOWST™. He then led the Discovery team at Concerto Biosciences, using the kChip combinatorial screening platform to identify microbial product candidates for internal and partnered discovery campaigns. He holds a BSE in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, where he focused on tool development for synthetic biology.
