David is a seasoned biotech executive with a 30-year career as CEO and CSO, including as Chief Scientific Officer at the microbiome company Seres Therapeutics, the first significant microbiome therapeutics company. Across Seres, Forma, Anza, Eligix, and Cerus, he has been part of teams raising more than $1 billion, with a leading role in three IPOs and numerous follow-on investments, partnerships, and non-dilutive funding. He helped orchestrate two corporate acquisitions and played a key role in developing and commercializing five licensed products, as well as advancing a late-stage clinical program in sickle cell disease. He holds an A.B. from Harvard University and a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
